Saving Leeds tech from landfill
Set up in 2022 by a small group of Leeds engineers and cyclists who kept seeing working laptops in tip bins.
We're a not-for-profit CIC on a simple mission: keep working tech in use, recycle the rest properly, and stop sensitive data leaking out of Recycling Centres in old hard drives.
Everything we collect is logged, securely wiped or destroyed to NCSC-approved UK standards, and routed to either refurbishment or to a fully licensed WEEE processor — never to landfill for working devices.
- ✓ Diverted 3.2 tonnes of e-waste from landfill in 2024.
- ✓ Donated 240 refurbished devices to Leeds schools, refuges & community groups.
- ✓ Issued 1,200+ data-destruction certificates to households and small businesses.
- ✓ All collection by bike or EV van — no diesel vans, no courier networks.
